Delivery day: what to check when your trailer arrives
Every Dori Trailers order is delivered by insured freight with a walkthrough at handover. Ten careful minutes with the driver protects you, us and the insurer. Here is the checklist we use ourselves.

Before you sign
Walk around the trailer with the driver. Check the body and paint for transit damage, confirm the spare wheel and accessories listed on your order are present, and test that the coupler, lights and any hatches or doors work as they should. If something is wrong, note it with the driver before signing.
Photograph everything
Take wide shots of all four sides plus close-ups of any mark, dent or missing item. Photos taken at handover are the fastest evidence we and the freight insurer can work with, and they resolve almost every dispute quickly.
The 7-day window
Transit damage or missing items must reach us within 7 days of delivery, with photos. After that the freight insurer considers the shipment accepted in good order and claims become much harder. Email sales@doritrailers.co.za with your order number and the photos, or send them over WhatsApp.
Registration and first trip
Trailers are delivered unregistered unless registration was quoted and confirmed in writing. Before the first road trip, check tyre pressures, load security and light connections at your vehicle plug — the same checks we cover in the walkthrough at handover.
