A simple trailer maintenance checklist
Trailers are simple machines, but the parts that fail are the ones nobody checks. This is the routine we recommend to every customer, whether the trailer works weekly or sits between events.

Before every trip
Tyre pressures and tread, wheel nut torque, lights including brake and indicator at the vehicle plug, coupler and safety chain, handbrake, and load security. It takes ten minutes and catches most problems while they are still cheap.
Every few months
Wheel bearings (repack or replace on schedule), brake adjustment where fitted, suspension bushes and spring hangers, and a look along the chassis for fresh cracks or corrosion. Check any water system: hoses, pump and waste fittings.
Refrigerated and freezer trailers
Compressors need periodic professional servicing — ask us for the schedule for your specific unit. Keep condensers clear of dust and debris, and never skip a warm-up cycle before loading perishable stock.
Keep the build record
Every trailer leaves our yard with a build record listing chassis, axles, suspension, coupler and installed equipment. Keep it with the trailer: it speeds up parts orders, warranty claims and resale later.
