Black Aluminium Ute Canopy (Model 27000)

Model 27000 is a complete ute tray and canopy package: a black powder-coated aluminium 1 600 mm tray with an 1 100 mm two-door canopy, a pair of under-tray toolboxes, mud guards and mud flaps, a light kit with number-plate illumination, and the fitting kits needed to mount it to the vehicle. It is the setup for turning a chassis-cab or a single-cab bakkie into a working vehicle without paying dealer prices for an OEM canopy.

Aluminium keeps the weight off the payload. On a bakkie, every kilogram of tray and canopy is a kilogram of tools or stock you cannot carry, so a powder-coated aluminium build is the correct engineering choice rather than a cheaper substitute for steel. A 1 600 mm tray gives enough floor area for a standard pallet and the toolboxes sit underneath, out of the load space, which is where they belong in a working vehicle.

The canopy is 1 100 mm high with two doors - one each side, which is what a tradesman actually needs: access to a toolbox, fittings or a fridge from either side of the vehicle without climbing in or unloading. The canopy and tray are finished in black powder coating, which is hard-wearing and does not need painting after the first scratch, and all fitting kits are included so the installation is a bolt-up job.

Included alongside the tray and canopy: a pair of under-tray toolboxes, a pair of mud guards and mud flaps, and a light kit with an illuminated licence plate holder. The package carries a 12-month structural warranty on the tray and canopy structure.
