Mobile Cattle Trailer (Model 64006)

Model 64006 is a cattle trailer with an 1 800 mm removable crate over a 3 600 mm x 1 800 mm x 1 800 mm internal deck: a compact, manoeuvrable stock trailer with a 3.5 tonne ATM, four electric brakes and a breakaway controller, built for moving cattle and other livestock on farm roads and between farms.

The crate lifts off, and that is the feature that gives the trailer its working life beyond livestock: with the crate removed, the deck becomes a general farm trailer for feed, fencing material, implements and equipment. In practice, most buyers use it as a stock trailer on sale days and a utility trailer for the rest of the month.

The trailer carries four brand new tubeless tyres on powder-coated steel rims in a 185/70R14 fitment, 5-stud (Ford pattern) hubs, a 7-pin flat plug and a safety chain. The frame uses 50 x 50 x 2 mm bars underneath, the drawbar measures 1 800 mm with a 100 x 50 x 3 mm section, and the overall trailer measures roughly 5 600 mm long, 2 160 mm wide and 2 600 mm high with the crate fitted. Net weight is about 1 100 kg, which leaves roughly 2.4 tonnes of payload within the 3.5 tonne ATM - enough for two to three head of cattle, or a larger group of smaller stock.

Both the front and rear gates drop down and are removable, which is what makes loading and unloading manageable with one or two people: back the trailer to a race, drop the gate, walk the animals through, close up. The mudguard-to-mudguard width is 2 320 mm and the hub-to-hub measurement is 800 mm, so the trailer tracks behind a bakkie without excessive overhang on narrow farm tracks.

It is sold unregistered without plates, and registration can be quoted separately if you want it on the road permanently.
