Mobile Cattle Trailer (Model 72002)

Model 72002 is a 12 ft x 7 ft cattle crate trailer with a 3 500 kg ATM and a fully hot-dipped galvanised, fully welded frame - including inside the rail, which is where a painted trailer starts rusting first after a few seasons of cattle and wash-down.

The crate is removable, so the trailer converts into a standard flatbed when stock transport is not needed. That versatility, combined with a 2 000 mm high crate and an internal deck of 3 600 mm x 2 100 mm, gives enough room to carry a solid load of cattle comfortably while still being a trailer that earns its keep on the days there are no animals to move.

Handling is designed around one or two people. The back door opens three ways - full swing-out for loading a group, half slide for handling animals individually, and a drop ramp in the sliding door for walking stock on and off - and a centre divider lets you split the load by size, owner or temperament. Ramp rails are included, and four heavy-duty corner legs support the trailer when it is parked or being loaded on soft ground.

The running gear is heavy-duty throughout: a 60 mm solid axle set rated to 3 500 kg on nine-leaf rocker roller suspension, 12 inch electric drum brakes with a fitted breakaway unit, brand new 15 inch Sunraysia rims with 195 light-truck tyres, and a 7-pin flat plug. Wheel nut indicators are included so a loose wheel is visible before it becomes a lost wheel - a small thing that matters on a loaded stock trailer.

The deck is full 2.5 mm checker plate over a 70 x 50 x 3 mm cross-beam set, the drawbar is 1 800 mm in a 150 x 50 x 4 mm section, and the finish is hot-dipped galvanised throughout, silver as standard. Tare mass is about 1 300 kg, an 8 inch swivel jockey wheel is fitted, and the trailer carries a 12-month structural warranty.
