Flat Top Trailer (Model 43900)

Model 43900 is the practical 10x6 heavy-duty flat-top: a tandem-axle deck with 12 inch smooth drop sides, a checker-plate floor and an RHS chassis and drawbar - the specification that tells you the frame is box section rather than rolled channel, which is what a trailer flexes on when it is loaded and towed over bad roads.

Drop sides on all four sides make this the most versatile configuration in the flat-top range. Load with the sides up for loose material, drop the tailgate to carry long goods flat, or lift the sides off to use the trailer as a pure deck for pallets, machinery and sheet material. A tie rail runs around the trailer so straps, tarpaulins and rope always have a proper anchor.

The floor is checker plate throughout - not timber, not smooth sheet - so shovelling rubble, sand or stone out of it does not cut or split the surface, and the trailer keeps its resale value instead of rotting out from the deck down. The body sits on slipper suspension, which is a simple, robust layout that carries heavy loads well and is easy to service in the field.

The trailer runs on brand new Sunraysia rims with brand new light-truck tyres, and lighting is 12 V LED. It is finished and assembled to commercial standards with safety chains, mudguards and reflectors, and it is ready to work the day it is delivered.
