Tandem Axle Trailer (Model 28075)

Model 28075 is the volume member of our 8x5 tandem box trailer family: a 2000 kg ATM unit with 15 inch high checker-plate sides, a full checker-plate body and a drop-down front and rear tailgate, built to carry bulk that is heavy enough to need a braked tandem axle but light enough to fill the trailer.

The sides are the useful difference on this model. At 15 inches they hold a real load - sand, stone, firewood, maize, bottles, stock feed, crates - without the material spilling over every time the trailer moves, and they still allow long items to be carried flat on the tailgate when it is dropped. Drop-down front and rear tailgates mean you can load from either end, which is what you want when the trailer is backed up to a wall, a loading bay or a feed shed.

The running gear is a braked tandem setup: two 40 mm square axles on slipper suspension with hydraulic brakes on the front axle, a 1500 mm long drawbar, and new 14 inch Sunraysia wheels with new light-truck tyres. A spare wheel and jockey wheel are included. The combination gives stable towing under load, better braking than an unbraked box, and less tyre stress on long trips.

Commercial details throughout: full side steps, tie-down rails all round, 12 V LED lighting, a 7-pin plug and safety chains. The checker-plate finish is the same material used across our heavy-duty box range, so the trailer keeps working in dust, mud and building rubble without the paint disappearing off the floor within a season.
