Tandem Axle Trailer (Model L50008)

Model L50008 is the heavy-duty link in our 8x5 box trailer range: a tandem-axle unit with a 2000 kg ATM, hydraulic brakes on the front axle and a 3 ft galvanised cage on top, built for operators who load until the springs take the weight rather than packing to a volume limit.

The body is a full checker-plate build rather than a smooth-sided box - floor, sides, guards and steps - which is the finish that survives sand, stone, scrap metal and rubble. Sides stand 340 mm high with a fold-down front and rear tailgate, so long material can be carried flat and sheet goods do not have to be lifted over the sides. Full side steps let you reach into the trailer without dragging yourself over the edge, and straight tie-down rails run all the way around so straps, rope and covers have somewhere to bite.

A 3 ft galvanised cage bolts on top and adds real volume for light, bulky loads: garden refuse, building insulation, cardboard, polystyrene, furniture. Because it is galvanised, it will not rust out at the welds the way a painted cage does after a year of outdoor storage.

The running gear is the part that justifies the price: two 45 mm square axles on slipper suspension, hydraulic brakes on the front axle with a handbrake, a reinforced 1500 mm drawbar sized for a loaded trailer, and brand new 14 inch Sunraysia rims with new light-truck tyres all round. A spare wheel and a jockey wheel are included.

This is a working trailer for garden services, waste and rubble removals, furniture and appliance delivery, food and market logistics and general commerce - the kind of unit that earns money every week rather than standing in a yard.
